Connect with Plants
Southern California's plant communities in our neighboring and unaltered macrohabitats are Chaparral, Oak Woodland, Coastal Sage Scrub, and Desert. These are represented across the garden and it also includes an area with showstoppers of our ancient Earth, containing plants that evolved millions of years ago which are still living today.
Connect with Animals
Many of the animals that visit our garden are residents of our local areas while others are seasonal or transient visitors. Arthropods and birds are the most common fauna, yet you'll find the occasional coyote or squirrel visitor. We also have several solitary bees, bumblebees, and carpenter bees in each of our curated macrohabitats.
Connect People & Nature
Here is a window to the insightful world of ethnobotany and ethnozoology! We are dedicated to exploring the intricate relationships between humans and plants/animals through the lenses of culture and tradition, in the past and in our present. This is a living website that will continue to expand.
